NORTHEAST OUTDOOR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Last weekend I traveled down to Warwick, Maryland to photograph a late spring wedding at the historic Worsell Manor. What started out as a cold and dreary afternoon (with pea soup - thick fog) and pouring rain slowly morphed into the most beautiful golden hour by day's end.
I first met Kimmie and Michael nearly two years ago for their frigid engagement photos in Lake Placid. That particular session is still my coldest to date (with actual temps in the single digits and negative temps with the windchill!) but since they had traveled so far for their photos, there was no rescheduling. I knew these two were winners when, despite our fingers nearly freezing off, Kimmie wore dress after dress, tromping through the snow and never once letting her chattering teeth and goosebumps get in the way of a good shot. To this day, I still get told by new and current couples that they use their engagement session as wardrobe inspiration for their own shoot (see one of my favorite shots below!):
Now, it's time to show off their wedding day! Kimmie got ready in her childhood home (my fav) before making her way to Worsell Manor. Despite the questionable weather up through the ceremony, not once did I ever hear either her or Michael complain. Which, I mean, after the conditions they shot their engagement session in, I should have already known they graciously deal with the cards they're dealt!
I could write on and on about this couple but I'd rather let my photos do the talking!
Enjoy this sneak peek of their amazing wedding day!
