OUTDOOR ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS IN THE HIGH PEAKS OF UPSTATE NEW YORK
Marcy Dam in the high peaks region of Lake Placid is an iconic landmark for avid hikers in New York. Many of the popular hikes to some of New York's largest mountains pass through this valley and with an easy 3 mile hike in, even those who aren't on their way to bag a high peak can explore and admire the area. With all this being said, it shouldn't come as much surprise that this was the exact area Kristin, Conor and I decided on for their engagement session.
Although the dam was never repaired after Tropical Storm Irene damaged it back in 2011, the looming mountains, lush forest, and crystal clear mountain water rushing through the valley more than make up for the missing lake that once stood shimmering along the trails.
I had so much fun hiking, exploring, and laughing with these two on the most perfect Adirondack spring day! Kristin and Conor have this irrepressible zest for life that made photographing them a breeze and hopefully shows through in their photos!
