Caitlin & Leif had originally planned on a full wedding.
Set to take place in June, they talked about inviting friends and family, having a traditional ceremony and reception with full day photography coverage. Then in November, I received a text from Caitlin.
"I just sent you a crazy email."
Oh no, I thought. Something has happened to Leif. They broke up. They've called off the wedding.
Since I was driving when I got her text, it was some time before I was able to read her message.
They HAD called off the wedding.
The full wedding.
They were eloping.
Instead of their June 16th wedding, on December 22nd, Caitlin & Leif, together with their parents and a handful of close friends, pledged their lives to one another during the biggest snowfall of the year.
It was also winter solstice.
And they were outside, in one of their favorite areas, overlooking Lake Champlain. Hashtag winning.
I hope you enjoy looking through their big day as much as I did being a part of it!
(And, for those who are interested, here's a little article NBC wrote regarding their day because these guys are young professionals in the truest sense of the word! Pretty sure the only ones writing about me on my wedding day were my family members as they texted other family members.)
