Free People-Inspired Adirondack Portrait Shoot

If you follow me on any sort of social media, you've probably seen multiple photos from this shoot. Considering it happened back in May, I've kind of been leaking them out slowly over the last few months. It's a good problem to have when you're finally blogging shoots from May in July, right?

This was a personal shoot of mine. My youngest sister, along with my parents, were visiting for a few days when I decided, as I almost always do when I'm around her for longer than 12 hours, to do a portrait session.

Aimee is one of my favorite people to photograph. Not only is she statuesque and beautiful, but she'll do ANYTHING I ask of her, including rubbing glitter all around her eyes (oh hey, contacts!) and jumping in a mountain stream at the end of May. I know I've been sharing a lot of water shoots lately on Instagram and my Facebook but back in May, we were still hovering around water temps in the 50s and 60s.

Anyways! Here are a few shots from that shoot. It was a bit Free People-inspired plus gave me the opportunity to really play with light and shadows in the woods.

I love this one! Can you find Aimee? ^^
