Intimate Winter Wedding on Schroon Lake in Upstate New York | Adirondack Wedding Photographer

Bride and groom share a kiss at their winter wedding on frozen Schroon Lake in upstate New York

Most people tend to picture winter wedding ceremonies as taking place indoors. Maybe in front of a fireplace or, at the very least, in a heated room!

Not Anna and Andrew though. They held their intimate wedding ceremony right on frozen Schroon Lake!

Anna's family owns a home right on the lake so she only felt it right to hold her wedding there as well! The entire day was a family affair. Anna wore her grandmother's wedding dress. Her sister designed her table and wedding decor. Parents chipped in to get the food just right.

This was before COVID was even a thing, at least upstate. This was before every 2020 wedding was either postponed or forced into being that intimate family affair. But here were Anna and Andrew, trendsetters without even realizing it.

The simple details of this day were some of my favorite from the entire year and I hope you're just as inspired by them as I was!
