LAKE PLACID LODGE & WHITEFACE SUMMIT WEDDING
Carina and Doug pledged their lives to one another one morning last weekend at the Lake Placid Lodge in the Adirondack mountains of upstate New York. As it had the entire weekend, the day dawned misty with low, heavy clouds. The clouds persisted through the ceremony but began to break up during the couple's brunch reception.
By mid-day (and their Hackercraft exit!) the sun shone down brightly, creating the exact day city-dwellers long for when they visit the mountains. The air remained cool, a slight breeze kept the bugs at bay, and the sunlight made everything appear fresh and new. In other words, it was absolutely perfect.
Late afternoon, we left the lodge and made our way to the summit of Whiteface Mountain. With the heavy clouds gone, we had 90+ mile views in every direction! Doug conquered a slight fear of heights and Carina managed the steep hike to the summit in her wedding dress and sandals (much to the admiration of many onlookers).
All in all, one amazingly gorgeous Adirondack day for an amazingly gorgeous and intimate Adirondack wedding.
