Hannah and Spencer's upstate New York wedding at the Takk House in Troy was the epitome of spring romance. Fresh flowers adorned every table. The girl's bouquets were bursting with soft pinks and greens and coordinated perfectly with their dusty pink maxi dresses. The guys kept it casual with suspenders and ties and everyone spent the morning exploring downtown Troy, grabbing coffee, and enjoying the first real spring day we've had this year.
For me, this was my first urban wedding! Initially nervous over having to shoot in the concrete jungle rather than a pine-filled one, I quickly realized that photographing in the city was an incredibly fun challenge! Forcing me to think outside the box, I embraced full sun shots to give Hannah and Spencer's portraits an edgier, more modern feel that I felt complimented the cityscape.
As an added bonus, Troy has a waterfall! I'm convinced it's Troy's best kept secret and lucky for me, Hannah and Spencer were totally down for skipping out on cocktail hour in lieu of exploring the falls.
