Outdoor Autumn Wedding in the Catskills, NY
Deep in the Catskill mountains of New York, Nina and Nicklas reaffirmed their vows to one another while standing amongst towering pine trees and surrounded (literally) by their loved ones.
These two have an incredible story. Their parents met while living in NYC, way before Nina and Nicklas were even born. Years later, after Nicklas' parents had moved back to their native country of Denmark, Nina's parents went out for a visit. At this point, both kids were just a few years old and spoke two entirely different languages. Undeterred by the language barrier, Nina and Nicklas became best buds (as proven by several old photos put on display that showed two young toddlers exploring Denmark together).
Over the years, Nina and Nicklas semi kept in contact but as they got older, their interest in one another blossomed into romance. These two have maintained a long-distance relationship for nearly their entire existence as a couple! Even now, Nicklas is returning to Denmark while Nina remains in NYC, waiting for his green card to come. To help speed up the process, Nina and Nicklas formally married a year ago and yet, here they are, still living thousands and thousands of miles a part. However, if anyone can survive a long-distance relationship as husband and wife, it's these two! Their love and devotion to one another was incredible to witness despite the hardships they've endured over the years.
I hope you enjoy checking out their amazing day! Also, I learned a few Danish wedding tradition throughout their day. See if you can spot them! ;-)
